Platform Administration
Use the brad-headless office to operate the catalog, billing, infrastructure, licenses, and support.
This section is for people operating brad-headless, the BRAD sales and licensing platform. Customers managing one purchased installation should use Customer Portal and CMS Setup.
Staff sign in at Office. Access is controlled by office administrator roles and permissions. The office has a separate session from the customer portal.
What the office manages
| Area | Responsibilities |
|---|---|
| Customers | Client records, demo requests, tickets, and email delivery history |
| Billing | Orders, invoices, transactions, and services |
| Catalog | Products, groups, configurable options, pricing, and TLDs |
| Licensing | License records, bindings, check history, and release archives |
| Infrastructure | Servers, groups, registrars, domains, and deployments |
| BRAD Cloud | Cloud prices and customer wallets |
| System | Staff administrators, the billing engine, and platform settings |
A staff permission to access the office does not make that staff member an administrator of every customer CMS installation.
Configure the platform in order
- Set up the platform runtime and first administrator.
- Prepare catalog and infrastructure.
- Publish licenses and releases.
- Validate billing and scheduled operations.
- Establish support and maintenance routines.
Before opening public checkout, complete a controlled purchase through payment, license issuance, downloads, and any managed deployment. Separately test renewal and failure handling.
Staff access
Use System → Admins to manage staff accounts. Give staff the read and write permissions required for their responsibilities. Write permissions do not automatically include read permissions; grant both when appropriate.
Superadmins bypass permission checks. Limit that role to people who need full platform control. Use separate individual accounts for catalog, billing, support, and infrastructure responsibilities.
